RFID

RFID is an awe-inspiring audio-visual experience like no other, an event venue for the 21st century, built by a dedicated team of artists and engineers pursuing complete sensory immersion in a world of digital sound and vision. From humble grassroots beginnings this visionary project has now reached maturity and is providing the finest slices of social sensory escapism for discerning crowds from Holland to Anglesey.

On entering the RFID Gottwood explorers will experience a cutting edge projection installation allowing them to climb inside our three dimensional vision, witnessing a live virtual reality unfold above and around in 360 degrees, all the while losing themselves entirely to the sounds of the future...

While physicists attempt to fuse atoms to produce limitless energy, RFID is fusing live audio and live vision into a nucleus of sensory wonderment. Our unique digital performance system allows artists to fully integrate both art forms, in real time, in a way never seen before.

Hypercolour
Hypercolour

Hypercolour was set up in 2006 by DJ/Promoters Alex Jones and Jamie "Cedric Maison" Russell and has subsequently released tracks and remixes from the likes of Glimpse, Frankie Flowerz, Dan Berkson, Agnes, Plasmik and many more to the delight of fans of underground house and techno the world over.

Both passionate DJs, Russell and Jones felt the need to create a home for much of the unheard music pushed in their direction by friends, colleagues and acquaintances met through their gruelling schedule of promoting nights, DJing and exploring the benefits of cock-nose comedy glasses and inebriated Sunday mornings. Despite Jones and Russell's ability to avoid taking life seriously, Hypercolour quickly became a serious imprint picking up high profile fans and has become one of the most refreshing, interesting and dependable outlets for skewed, slightly left-of-centre electronic music.

With a small but dedicated roster of talent artists including Jones himself (in between releases for the likes of Kindisch, Turbo and more), Tom Demac, Glimpse and Frankie Flowerz, Hypercolour's biggest selling point has been the avoidance of trends and themes, resulting in true freedom for the artists and something continually different for record buyers, djs and clubbers.  This near belligerent attitude about providing something different is more than apparent in the two A&Rs DJ sets and the frequent Hypercolour nights around it's London base, too.

Idiosync
Idiosync

Krankbrother
Krankbrother

Krankbrother is the most cutting edge underground house and techno party in london, having hosted some of the hottest talent on the globe.

bored of done-to-death clubs and overhyped music, they've forged relationships with some of the freshest record labels on the globe, bringing some of the finest international and home-grown electronic musical talent to London – to perform at largely unused and unique spaces. In the past, venues have included rooftops, warehouses, derelict pubs and disused railway arches.

Krankbrother also work to provide a different clubbing experience by collaborating with a variety of set designers, galleries and theatre companies and in the past have transformed venues into mock ballrooms, jungles, circuses and much more. Interactive performers often provide a surprise element – with past acts ranging from burlesque dancers to fire breathers, snake charmers to stilt walkers and hula hoopers to planted actors.

Most importantly, no two parties are ever the same and their Gottwood debut is set to take Gottwood to new places.

Louche
Louche

Created by music lovers, for music lovers, Leeds and London club-night Louche is going from strength to strength. Four years on from being a small party amongst friends, they now find themselves as being one of the most talked about parties in Europe.

In their northern home The Mint Club, Louche are responsible for unearthing and showcasing some of the house scenes biggest stars; Seth Troxler's first ever UK performance was at Louche in 2007, and their show-stopping third birthday last November welcomed the national debut of Visionquest Live. Other notable guests have included Brothers Vibe, Art Department, Dinky and Lee Foss amongst others.  Their events have gained cult status in Leeds, and London has since followed suit.

Their podcast series, nearing it's thirty-fifth episode is subscribed to on a global scale across 60 countries, with acts such as Delano Smith, Gadi Mizrahi and Miss Fitz all laying beats down for the eclectic series so far.

Founders Brinsley and Josh's dedication to the party remains as strong as it was on day one, and it is their charm, commitment, sense of fun and ambition that continues to push Louche forward and ultimately bring them to Gottwood to host what is set to be a very special, very deep and very nostalgic Sunday morning in the woods.

Woodland Ambush
Woodland Ambush

Woodland Ambush have their sights set on augmenting spatial experiences for wild festival-goers. Drawn by the magic of Gottwood Festival's remote woodland setting, Woodland Ambush will be artfully framing views of their site, punctuating paths through it, and defining spaces within it by way of sculpture, furniture, dwelling, and the like.

The Woodland Ambush troupe is made up of design and architecture graduates who share ideas about what festival design and decor should offer spatially; how it should relate to it's setting; and how careful judgments regarding materials, construction techniques and the incorporation of found objects, can make all the difference in realising a design intention. Alongside their 9-to-5 lives they keep eyes and ears out for places with distinct characteristics or histories, (urban as well as rural) from which themes can be drawn out to inform event concepts.

With a love for things that have a fleeting yet lively existence, they then insert temporary structures that are satisfying to build, thought provoking to behold, comforting to be in, fun to use and then humbling to dismantle and move on from - leaving no trace for those weren't there.
