Family Profile: Krankbrother

This year, instead of just letting you know which promoters we’ve got on board to help us build and curate the festival, we thought it would be fitting to provide a ‘Family Profile’ for each of our friends.

We have some amazing brands with us for Gottwood Pt 3, and we want to ensure that everyone understands what is coming their way, where each of these brands have come from and most importantly where they're heading! So... first up is Krankbrother, the London duo who do things ever so slightly different!

Originating from a private party in Corsica Studios, the Krankbrother brand has evolved over the last few years into one of the most cutting edge events the capital has to offer. The Krankbrothers were bored of 'done-to-death clubs', and overhyped music and they’ve now forged relationships with some of the freshest artists and record labels from around the globe.

We were at two of their roof top parties last summer (Lee Foss and Heidi) and couldn’t believe what they had curated. For those of you that missed it, have a peak at the two videos to get an idea of what went down, and obviously what is to come in June!

Each Krankbrother party focuses on unique locations and creating an intimate party vibe. A Caribbean shack, a deserted pub, eerie railway arches, an abandoned theatre, mysterious photography studios and numerous industrial rooftops. To many, these locations would merely form part of London’s dilapidated backdrop however, for the Krankbrothers, and their fellow followers, these unique locations became home to the unforgettable and mystical nights that unfolded.

Whilst we’re not releasing their part of the line-up just yet, anyone who has been to one of the their events should have an idea of what they are likely to deliver! Past and upcoming guests of theirs include: Pan-Pot, Nick Curly, Nic Fanciulli, Heidi, Martin Landsky, Dyed Soundorom, Dj T, Ramon Tapia, Lee Curtiss, Namito, Ivan Smagghe, Lee Foss, Shaun Reeves, MANIK, And ID, Italoboyz, Clement Meyer, Metope and Danton Eeprom to name but a few.

"We're delighted to be involved at Gottwood Festival this year. We're going to bring some of our best guys down to enjoy the party! We played at the festival last summer and it was one of our favourite gigs all year - beautiful setting, great production and lots of thought has gone into the whole project. They've got even more exciting things planned for this year and some amazing people on board, it's a set to be the best year yet…" (Dan & Kieran - Krankbrothers)

This all sounds very familiar to what we have instilled in Gottwood, hence why we are so excited that the Krankbrother experience will be joining us in June.

Welcome to the family Krankbrothers.
